2020 Update #2

June 2020

We continue to operate during these difficult times with all staff working from home. We are currently in the process of drawing up a Plan that will set out how we safely move forward as staff start returning to the Office. We hope that all of our clients, associates and friends are managing to stay safe too.

July 2020

Reserved Matters Planning Approval secured for 307 dwellings within the Houghton Regis North - Major Development Area on behalf of Barratt Homes. A number of stakeholders were involved in this project and we worked hard to ensure that a successful outcome was arrived at for all parties.

July 2020

Full Planning Permission gained to add two additional Apartments to the Approved Residential scheme at Wolverton, Milton Keynes on behalf of Abbey Homes.

August 2020

Outline Application submitted to East Hertfordshire District Council for up to 100 dwellings at Bishop’s Stortford on behalf of the Bishop’s Stortford North Consortium.

August 2020

We have started to bring people back in to our office to work. We have a number of procedures and measures in place to make sure it is safe and, where possible, are still working remotely to limit numbers in the office. Things seem to be working well and we would like to thank all our staff for helping with the process. It’s amazing to see how many meetings are conducted through ‘Teams’ or ‘Zoom’ at the moment  - A lot of time is saved this way (and it’s certainly better for the environment). We can see this being something that may be here to stay when things (hopefully) get back to normal!

August 2020

The Final version of the Design Principles Document for Bishops Stortford North has been submitted to the Council. This document sets out the vision for the entire major development and, once Approved, will be used to inform the forth coming Reserved Matters Applications. We worked closely with Planning Officers and other stake-holders to produce a document of over 100 pages in length that all parties were happy with.

August 2020

Reserved Matters Planning Approval secured at Saffron Walden on behalf of Abbey Homes for 85 dwellings. This was a new Application following a Refusal of the original Application by the Local Authority based on some rather tenuous reasons. An Appeal was lodged against the original decision but our client wanted to submit a new scheme that would address the reasons as a ‘back-stop’.

August 2020

The Appeal against the Refusal for our original Application at Saffron Walden has been upheld, meaning that the applicant (Abbey Homes) now have Planning Approval for the original scheme.

August 2020

Application submitted for 130 dwellings at Kingsfleet, Thetford on behalf of Kier Living.

September 2020

Reserved Matters Application submitted for a development of 53 dwellings at Sutton on behalf of Abbey Homes.

September 2020

Things seem to really be picking up at the moment and we are busy working on projects for Abbey Homes, Canon and Kirk, Reside Homes, Barratt, Riverdale Homes plus several others. In total, we are working on at least 6 live Planning Applications that will provide over 700 dwellings once approved. Keep checking back for further news on these exciting projects.

2020 Update #1

March 2020

Like many other businesses, we reacted swiftly to the COVID-19 threat and geared ourselves up for a different way of working. This included putting procedures in place that would allow all staff to work remotely from home if needed. It was only a couple of weeks later that the national lock-down was imposed but we were ready and able to transition to a new and safe way of working easily. The safety and welfare of our staff is of the upmost importance to us and we are grateful to all of them for their help during these times.

April 2020

Full Planning Approval gained for 4 dwellings on land in Wavendon, Milton Keynes on behalf of Abbey Homes.

May 2020

We are still open for business and carrying out work for our valued clients. Things have quietened off a bit now as Building Sites around the country have paused but we continue to work on new and upcoming projects. We also continue to provide Town Planning Services and are engaged as Master Town Planners on behalf of various consortiums of house builders at Bishop’s Stortford, Sherford and Cambourne. Between them these three sites will deliver circa 9,000 new dwellings, together with infrastructure, Open Space, Schools, employment areas and new Town Centres.

May 2020
