New Primary School

June 2016 - We are happy to announce that Planning Permission was received last week for a new Primary School at Sherford, Plymouth. This forms part of the infrastructure for Phase 1 of the overall development. CMYK’s role was to head up the Town Planning aspect of the application, negotiating with the Local Authority, Development Consortium and other stake holders.

Set in the heart of the Sherford New Town community, 420 primary places will be available to children between the ages of 2-11, and will be the first of three planned primary schools to be constructed as a part of the overall development.

It's a girl!

May 2016 - We would like to offer a huge congratulations to Harry Thompson and his wife on the birth of their daughter, Isabel Victoria Thompson on May 17th.

February 2016 - Reserved Matters planning permission obtained on behalf of Taylor Wimpey (South Midlands) for 115 No. new dwellings forming the second phase of a major development site at Radstone Fields in Brackley.

This site provides a large mix of homes ranging from 1 bedroom apartments through to 5 bedroom detached family homes.

Sherford New Town

January 2016 - Following obtaining approval for the first phase at the Sherford New Town Developement in Plymouth in 2015 for Taylor Wimpey, we have now gained approval for an additional three units in Parcel B of this phase as part of a post approval optimisation.  Again this scheme was compliant with a very restrictive design code and was approved under delegated powers at the first time of asking.

Milton Keynes WEA

November 2015 - We are very happy to have secured Reserved Matters Planning approval for 85 new dwellings under delegated powers in Milton Keynes as a first phase of development for Taylor Wimpey (South Midlands).  This particular parcel is within Area 10.3 Phase 3 of the Milton Keynes Weston Expansion Area (WEA) which is a comprehensive extension to the city.

Milton Keynes WEA has outline planning permission to provide approximately 4330 new residential units together with a range of employment uses, indoor sports, community facilities, three primary schools and a secondary school to name but a few.

The future..............

November 2015 - During the long summer holidays, our Planning Director tasked his two young boys with surveying the family home for a possible extension later in the year.  As you can see, these two budding surveyors took their responsibilities very seriously and are well set for bright futures as Town Planners.

Cardington Hanger

Huge congratulations to Pat Pattan and all at Fosbern Hangers Ltd on completing the refurbishment of Shed One at Cardington, Bedfordshire.

Originally constructed in 1916 to house the R31 airships, extensive refurbishment has been underway since 2012.  In this time construction workers have painted 20 acres of steel work, removed and replaced 12 acres of sheeting, and replaced the 5 acre concrete floor.  All this at a cost of around £10 million.

The shed was officially reopened on October 16th by the Mayor of Bedford.

Charity Golf Day

September 2015 - We are extremely proud to have taken part in the Taylor Wimpey South Midlands Charity Golf Day helping to raise much needed funds for Keech Hospice in Luton.  A wonderful charity providing fantastic specialist care for patients and their families.

A great day at Whittlebury Hall was had by all, involving Golf & Clay Pigeon shooting.
