Hawkhurst, Kent

October 2017 - We are pleased to announce that we have secured a Reserved Matters planning approval for 29 dwellings, including 9 affordable units, at Hawkhurst in Kent for Riverdale Developments.

The site falls within the North Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has been designed around a central open space.  A large number of the existing mature trees on the site boundaries have been preserved, providing the opportunity for Ecological mitigation zones to be incorporated.

Phase 1 consists of 117 dwellings, including 33 Affordable homes and over 3,700 square feet of commercial space (for A1 / D1 use).  The Outline Consent for the overall site allows up to 336 dwellings and we look forward to working closely with Abbey Homes on the next phases.

Newton Leys Phase 6

August 2017 - Reserved Matters Approval gained for 183 dwellings on Phase 6 of the Newton Leys development on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.

This Application forms part of the wider Newton Leys development on the outskirts of Milton Keynes and CMYK are pleased to continue their involvement with Taylor Wimpey on this development.

We worked closely with our client, Planning Officers, Highway Officers and other Local Authority consultees to design a scheme that proposes a clear hierarchy of street types and character areas.  The design includes Play Areas and Green Corridors with a more continuous form of development along the Primary Streets and less formal arrangements towards the Parkland Edge.

Planning Consent was granted via Delegated Powers at Officer Level.

Biggleswade Site 3

August 2017 - Reserved Matters Approval gained for 134 dwellings on Parcels 15, 16 & 18 of the Biggleswade development on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.

The Application site is made up of three parcels, two of which front on to the overall development edge and entrance roundabout. We overcame these constraints with a design that allowed for substantial landscape areas between the built form and highways.  The scheme comprises a mixture of houses and apartments, designed to address the Landscape areas and Public Realm.

CMYK have been involved in securing Planning Permissions on a number of parcels on this development for Taylor Wimpey and hope to continue their involvement on future parcels as they come forward.
